I've never actually played a Touhou game but I've read a lot of 4komas with them in it, including the yukkuri ones...
Reading through Den threads though, sometimes I wonder which touhou corresponds best with which poster (say, Cirno)

I checked out the games back when it was a new thing to 4chan's /tg/ subforum, but it was literally BULLET HELL and not the kind of thing I would ever want to play.
It reminds me of the kind of godawful impossible 1-hit KO games for the Commodore I used to play as a child, crying after an hour of struggle only to lose by being touched by a tiny pixellated menace.
As far as the characters go, all I know about them is through the rather well detailed porn that pops up every now and then. There's tons of nonporn Touhou art as well but the porn stands out as unusual for me because there is SO MUCH OF IT. WHAT THE FUCK.

You could ask Sakuya, since she has been posting here these days.

Welcome, to IronHell.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
Sigma: It's an intellectual property popular with nerds that has women in it, thus there will be porn. See also: KanCole, LoL, Ponies.
You get used to playing the games after a while, and there's no shame in starting on EASY MODO. The secret is three parts memorization to one part twitch reflexes.
Where is Sakuya anyway? She's certainly a better gimmickposter than shad or Roy's parachutes.
